Kole Tang Won't Eat!

I just got a Kole tang on Monday. I did not QT him as it is my first fish in the tank so there is no competition for food. (I know probably should still) He ate well at the LFS but now that I got him home he won't eat. He is grazing on the rocks and substrate, so from what I gather that means he is eating something. I have soaked Nori in Garlic with no luck. I understand that they don't always eat right away, but when is too long? Any other tricks or advice is appreciated.

i would try nori without garlic first just to get him going myne aet right away i just put some nori on a rock with a rubberband and he was all over it

tonight he started picking at the nori a little bit. I will just be persistent, he is pooping so I assume he is eating.

u could always try my fish food.

I might be game for that. This is my first run at a saltwater tank and I need to get used to all this stuff.

When I'm in a hurry in the morning and don't feel like putting out nori I use formula 1 flakes. The tangs love it (it's more plant based than formula 2) Also, to get mine eating off the clip I put a peice of nori in the water and rubbed pieces off into flakes. That got them eating the nori and a couple days later they were picking at the clip.

He will eat the brine shrimp with spirulina, I just want to keep the diet varied. He picked at the nori, then spit it out. Is it possible that he just doesn't like it?
