Re: First Impressions: Sicce Voyager 3 Powerheads

Not at all. I just wanted to compare them to the Evolutions which appear to be smaller in size from what I can tell having not seen one yet.
The Voyagers are still chugging right along, completely silent and switching every minute. I have yet to hear a noise out of them except when a large turbo snail wedges himself between the PH and glass and his shell vibrates against the glass, which is common with any powerhead.
So much nicer on a wavemaker than anything else I have tried including modded MJs, Seios and the old Koralias.

Re: First Impressions: Sicce Voyager 3 Powerheads

which evolutions did you get? did you see what kind of juice they are pulling with the kill-a-watt? The 1400gph model claims 6 watts. wondering how close it really is.

I got the 1400's and they are dead on at 6 watts apiece. Surprised me a little since the old K4's were over their claims as is the Sicce Voyager 3.

Re: First Impressions: Sicce Voyager 3 Powerheads

I was surprised how much over the K4 and Voyager 3 actually tested. 6 watts is pretty darn good.

Re: First Impressions: Sicce Voyager 3 Powerheads

I have a one new Voyager 3 Powerhead . Purcashed it three weeks ago . Its in my 75g corner tank . Water movement is great . I can see the power head has some vibration .The power head is only two feet from the front glass . If i add a second Voyager 3 . What type of controller should I look at . For switching the powerheads on an off .

I have power strip that has a built in timer on half the outlets, I don't remember the name of it though.
